The Lake Applet is by far the most used on Internet sites. I have made this site in order to give those of you who might be thinking of adding a Lake Applet to your site a bit of help if you need it. The Applets that you see running on this page now are simple ordinary Lake Applets, but the links below will lead you to other types of the Lake Applet that you may wish to attempt to make. Check them out! I have also included in this site two (2) zip files which are located at the bottom of this page to help you along. The 'lake1.zip' file contains the necessary html code, image, and Lake.class file, along with an example titled 'applet1.html', and a readme help file in the form of a webpage titled 'readme.html' to help you make ordinary Lake Applets like those on this page. The second zip file, 'cutaway.zip,' contains the necessary html code, images, and Lake.class file, along with an example titled 'test.html', and a readme help file in the form of a webpage titled 'cuthelp.html' to help you make the cutaway style of applets like those of the water pools found by following the last two (2) links below. If you manage to make this Applet work the other image overlays will be easy. At any rate, if you know nothing about Lake Applets, I suggest that you download the 'lake1.zip' first and play around. If you wish to attempt to make the cutaway Lake Applet download the 'cutaway.zip' file. Download them both if you wish.
I have tried the best that I can to provide enough information in the help
files to construct these Applets but I do not guarantee that it can help
everyone so:
the use of the contents of this site and the viewing of any links that you
follow is at your own discretion and is your own responsibility as usual.
All I can do is suggest that you download and play around with the information
provided in the zip files located below if you wish! Let me know how you make
out. I'd appreciate it. A little credit would also be greatly appreciated!
*Reminder*, creating cutaway image Lake Applets can be very irritating so don't
blame me and don't give up!! Have fun and keep the frustration to a minimum!
This page is still under construction!! Good luck!!!
The two links below are *not* Lake applets, but they might be of interest to you. Check them out!
